Advises for use in e-mails |
Use letters at the beginning of the mails, because if you put them at the end,
the recipient will not see the animations, he will only see the final result and it would not be so cool.
Test your e-mail by sending it to yourself first, to see the result.
NEW ! fo VERY EASY incorporation of animated gifs (mine or yours, or .jpg image files or sounds) in your emails (and many other great features!), I recommend you THIS:
just clic and you'll will be able to view a demo, download it and use it for FREE ! (yes, it's true !).
[It works as a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) email composer: you'll see exactly what the recipient will see in his mail]

Looping |
My alphabets don't loop: the animations stop at the final frame and don't scroll again.
|
|
Dimensions |
Some of my alphabets may look too small (or too big), in HTML pages, you can display them with the size you want
you just have to add the width parameter (width=xx) where xx represent the width you want
; if you dont't precise the length parameter, the browser will adapt it, keeping the right
proportions. On the pages with the samples, you will find the dimensions of the gifs
(all the letters of an alphabet have the same dimensions) and sometimes a display
in more adapted dimensions.

|
Transparence |
Some of my alphabets are transparent, those who have white "edges",
like "Trous-d-Balles", "Love etc...", or "Toaster", it means that if you use them on a colored
background (color other than "pure" white #FFFFFF), the white color will be invisible and will be replaced by your own background color.

Future projects |
You can send me any suggestion, ideas etc...
Don't hesitate to write to me !

Bonus Images |
On some pages you will find images that you could use, for example to insert between two letters/words.
(I think they are free to use...). To save them on your hard disk:
PC: right click, then choose somthing like "Save image under" in the menu which will appear,
then choose a convenient place on your hard disk.
Mac: I don't know now but I will search...

How are they made? |
With an old commercial 2D animation software: Autodesk Animator Pro v1.3,
then I used FLI2GIF.EXE to convert files as GIF files. The speed and looping parameters
have been set with Microsoft Gif Animator.
You have to know that it can takes a very long time to achieve some alphabets (sometimes 30 minutes for only one letter).

Who am I ? |
I am working in a big scientific information center in Nancy (east of France), and I am not a graphist as you can guess.
Something else: some people seem to forget that webmasters are human beings and not machines.
So...
